Chambray Dress

Happy Friday! This week went by so quickly for me. I got permission from a friend to use their Hulu account which meant I could finally start the Handmaid's Tale. Oh. My. Gosh. I can't pull myself away from the television!! I totally get the hype and now fully understand how it won so many Emmys.

I definitely need to find a balance so I can start spending more time outside and soak up the first few days of Fall. It's still really hot here (as in 100 degrees when I leave my work at 5 😅) so I've been allll about transition pieces.

I wore this dress from Tobi to the lake on Labor Day and it was the perfect cover-up! Sometimes we go out to eat after being on the lake all day, so I like to opt for a cute dress just like this one for something easy that still looks nice.

Dress: Tobi (c/o) // Shoes: Old Navy, similar

I also think that this dress could transition for a day trip, shopping, brunch with girlfriends, date night, and just about everything in between!

Plus, pair it with booties or cute riding boots and you have a perfect early fall outfit.

These details are amazing!! I love the front-facing pocket trend. These are the perfect size for a regular sized iPhone. And the faux cut-off look at the bottom is super cute.

Summer 2017, you will be missed. But bring on Fall! I just have a feeling that the end of this year is going to be great.

P.S.: I took an accidental hiatus from my career series (Handmaid's Tale, I'm telling you!!) so expect that back on schedule next Wednesday!

  1. I love a good chambray dress! I have a conference next weekend, and am planning on wearing mine. Hoping to 'fall' it by adding a vest.
