Mug Monday

Happy August, everyone! It's so weird to think that school is right around the corner. As fall approaches, I always like to think about how it's a season of change. This time last year I was moving into a house with people I thought were my forever friends. There was a guy in the picture. I had just gotten an internship that I thought I would love. I had the perfect idea of how I wanted my life to go.

365 days later... those friends are (for the most part) out my life. The relationship with that guy is more than over. I still have the internship, but I'm not wild about it. And I have absolutely no idea how the future is going to play out.

This is one of my all time favorite illustrations. I'm not sure exactly where I found it, but I have a copy saved on my phone, my iPad, my desktop computer, and I'm planning on making a print for my apartment wall.

Change is hard, but sometimes it is so, so worth it in the end. No matter how trying the situation, bloom wherever life plants you. Have a great Monday!

  2. Oh I love this image! I'm so happy not to be the same person I was 5 years ago because I would never have the life I have now without change.

  3. I love this illustration, too! Change isn't always a bad thing. Sometimes it's a good thing. This year has been an amazing one for me, too! I got married, we adopted a puppy, bought land, and are about to build our dream home. Social media has changed me and so has blogging. I love this life and i'm so happy for the opportunity to grow older and change!

  8. Sometimes life goes completely unexpected! Even though you have no idea where you're going (it's okay, neither do I!) you'll get wherever you're supposed to be eventually!

  18. Sometimes growth means you have to leave behind the people you thought you'd be around forever, but it's usually always worth it. Great post!
